After 37 days of protesting at Propylaia, unfortunately there has been no response to our request from the Greek Government, media and NGOs for human rights.
Today, 29th of December of 2010 we began hungry strike and sewing our lips firstly with 6 people.
In case of a non immediate and definite response, we intend to increase the participation in the hunger strike and in the cruel
action of sewing lips.

About 13:30 local time, some officials of greek ministry of cops warned Palestinian refugees who have camped for 2 months outside the UN offices ( in Psihiko-Athens) that tonight will be a bloodshed, if they do not take their tents and leave the space outside the UN offices.

19th September – 22nd October 2009:
After a number of revolts inside the detention centre Pagani on Lesvos island, the prison was finally officially closed and the last refugees left to Athens. Huge numbers of refugees had been imprisoned in the overcrowded prison all over the summer, leading to repeated uprisings.
On saturday afternoon, 27th of November, an afghan refugee of 24 years old, father of 3 children, was crushed between 2 trucks during his effort to climb in one of them and leave for Italy. This happened in the national road Patras-Korinthos (in Greece).

On Monday evening, the 1st of November, 9.30pm, a bully terrorist bully attack Mandana Daneshnia one of the Iranian hunger strikers with a sewed mouth. While Mandana was leaving her house, where she had returned to change her clothes and take a shower, and returning to Propylaia with her husband, where the hunger strike is taking place, two passengers riding a motorcycle wearing helmets attacked her with a heavy wooden stick, threw her down and escaped.
The Network of Social Support for Refugees and Migrants DYKTIO condemns today’s (22.10.10) police aggression who together with employees of the municipality «cleaned» the region near to the railway station. The hunted refugees of St. Panteleimon Church and Attica Square, in their majority being Afghans but also some Algerians and Tunisians, are camping since weeks in a provisory shelter they built up in a basketball court on the opposite side of the train station.
The Immigration Appeals Board (UNE) has stopped deportations to Greece until further notice. “The Immigration Appeals Board has decided to honour the request of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) to stop forced returns to Greece”, says UNE-director Terje Sjeggestad. All asylum-seekers who have had their applications denied in accordance with the Dublin Regulation, but remain in the country, will be allowed to stay.
